Greetings and salutaions, watchers!

After much delay and equal anticipation, TBL is proud to announce the reopening of #TheBlackLegions as an operating Rp room within dAmn! The old system for TBL has been completely gutted, and soon all the old Rp settings will either be retrifitted or removed completely.
The world our Rp room encompasses has been restructured and rebuilt with new components and rules. A new system has also been constructed for for the submission of new characters as well as settings. Loads has been happening, and we can evern say the last four days have had solid Rp time happening!

Thanks to =Anfalas, =ashescry, =lunar0pacus, ~SynergicFuture, =WillowMoonWolf and *pyronixcore for kickstarting the first TBL Rp sessions of the room in what could only be months upon months of solid inactivity, and thanks to those that are sticking around and checking in the room. It means a lot to us to get back into operation as not just a room, but a community.

Below I have made some details on the changes we've made to the room. There are two main areas of focus, and they have headings. A lot is happening, so keep yourself tuned in! (Beware, this is a large journal.)

Characters: How to Submit a Character in TBL.

Characters in TBL now have a slightly different structure for the Character Sheet (Profile) pages. This includes a new "Realm" addition and small alterations to what is required on various sections of your sheet. It is important to review the link provided at the top of this section on how to submit characters to TBL - Old characters are required to be edited to these standards if they are to be used any further in TBL.

Realms: How to Submit a Realm in TBL.

The world map has been redrawn! Now regions are known a Realms; countries, nations, territories and city-states are included in this, and all must occupy land on the Continental Mainland or in any Islands around said continent. The idea is to eliminate extraneous variables such as other worlds or dimensions.

Special rules apply to characters from other worlds, dimensions or universes and you'd probably do best to talk to staff about what's going on, here.

The world history has been erased! This means every character has a fresh start. I felt this was an important change due to the complete overhaul of the room. A new history has been streamlined and the world is now very open to variables.
Characters have more freedom over where they're from, what the can do and even what races they are from. The idea of these changes is to make the story of this world as diverse as possible. This means there are things that can be discoveres, realms to find, new characters to meet. The possibilities are endless.

Tools and Information:
New guides and links are available to accommodate the new system in the room, including guides on character and real submissions (Linked above), hints/tips and information on more efficient (As well as comprehensive) Rping.
It is important to note that TBL has changed its policy on how Rp is conducted. Rp can also now be played out in the main room as well as in #TBLRP, the new Rp-specific (Chat free) room. #TheBlackLegionsArena has been shut down (I hope to find a way of having it deleted in the near future).

Membership has been removed for all members due to the severe drop in watchers over the idle period. Anybody who watches this account will have automatic membership, though you have to have it reinstated upon entry into the room. This is also partially due to the fact I have removed the race-based privclasses (Demon, Nightmare, Undead etc) and formed a single member class called 'Citizens' and a single staff class called 'Guardians'; it removed a lot of unnecessary clutter and made the room much nicer to be in.

Staff have also been stripped of their positions due to equal lack of participation; this is mostly for their benefit, I don't want to have to push people into getting back into the room after so long, they simply might not want to. =ashescry has been the first member to get a staff position in TBL, thanks to her efforts and enthusiasm when I was trying to rebuild the remains of a year-dead room in idling. Thanks =ashescry, and contratulations.

=Anfalas is the only member of staff to retain his position (A founder).

Other News: In a bid to gather new interest in TBL, we will be featuring themed artworks from both members and other artists within the dA community. This should be a good way of promoting artists, sharing cool works and getting some quality community spirit into the revived TBL. There are some great opportunities arising to get us back up as a group.

If we manage to get our hands on some subscription goodness, we will also be participating in Critiques, to help share some of the goodness and again, promote artists across dA.
I'm also toying with the idea of creating a dA branch of TBL under Groups to make this more comprehensive for members, but we'll see about that bridge when we get there.
